Comments Policy

We are all here because we like to read and we like to write.  To encourage this sort of thing in our community, we have a commenting section.  However, like all communities, we enforce particular rules to keep the conversation friendly.  If you don’t like them, you can go and start your own blog and write your own rules.  We are going to eliminate all comments made by people who ignore these rules:
  1. Be the person Mr. Rogers knows you can be.  Don’t make comments that aren’t respectful to your fellow human beings.  This includes racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or uncivil discourse of any kind.  If you don’t know what treating someone else with respect looks like, lurk until you do.
  2. Try to either refer to the main post or to another comment when you’re writing.  Free-wheeling conversations are fine; jumping into a post with a completely unrelated comment is not.
  3. Don’t be a spambot.
